World Breeders, founded by three veterans of Spain’s cannabis associations, has grown from informal cultivation into an international enterprise. The team, with expertise in genetics, research, and business management, first developed their skills in the Basque Country and Andalusia.
Seeking a more favorable regulatory environment, the company established production facilities in Colombia, where indoor and greenhouse operations optimize conditions for developing complex terpene profiles. From there, they export seeds back to Europe and continue innovating with original genetics, including strains like Clementine Slush, Fizzy Gum, and Pink Truffle.
The company’s growth highlights the potential for European cannabis markets as countries gradually expand adult-use cultivation policies, showing how entrepreneurship, science, and regulatory shifts are shaping the industry worldwide.
