A months-long narcotics investigation in Bergen County ended with five arrests and the seizure of more than $4 million worth of drugs, according to prosecutors. Authorities say the alleged operation stretched across Bergenfield, Englewood, and Lodi, involving MDMA, ketamine, marijuana, and hundreds of kilograms of counterfeit pressed pills.
Investigators say the probe began in September 2025 and involved the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, the United States Postal Inspection Service, and the Maywood Police Department. Search warrants were executed on May 7 at multiple properties throughout Bergen County.
Authorities identified the suspects as Thomas A. Crisafulli, Jayshawn Eyamazememba, Ethan Lara, Michael Morales, and Naudy Oviedo. Prosecutors allege the group operated a large-scale drug manufacturing and distribution network.
According to officials, investigators seized:
- 3 kilograms of MDMA
- 9 kilograms of ketamine
- 291 kilograms of counterfeit pressed pills
The estimated street value of the narcotics exceeded $4 million.
All five defendants face multiple narcotics-related charges, including operating a controlled dangerous substance facility and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. Prosecutors said the suspects were initially remanded to the Bergen County Jail before later being released pending further court proceedings.
