A Stratford man identified as Ernest Samuel is facing a long list of charges after police say a months-long narcotics investigation uncovered a drug distribution operation tied to heroin, fentanyl, and marijuana.
According to authorities, the investigation led the Stratford Police Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit to execute multiple search warrants at locations in Stratford and Bridgeport. During the raids, officers say they recovered a loaded revolver, over 80 grams of heroin/fentanyl, more than 100 grams of marijuana, and cash believed to be connected to drug sales.
Police describe Samuel as a repeat offender with a lengthy criminal history, including dozens of prior arrests, many related to drugs. He is now charged with multiple offenses, including firearm violations and drug distribution-related crimes, and is being held on bond pending his next court appearance. Several federal and local task forces assisted in the investigation.
