Hello Cannabis Community!
Just think, not that long ago, Cannabis possession was a criminal offense nearly everywhere. The cannabis community kept their consumption secret due to all the negative stigma the country has created. After the introduction of medical programs and decriminalization bills, we’re here in current day. If you’re familiar with this blog, I’m sure you know that in the Connecticut program the prices are VERY high and the rules are VERY strict.
Meltdown
I had been informed that there were events for anyone with medical cards in Rhode Island at the TertaHydroClub and in Maine at a secret location, so of course…..I had to go! Dabbin Dad and Co. hit the meltdown in Rhode Island and were absolutely astounded. I’m honestly not sure where to start! The Meltdown is a monthly event at the TetraHydroClub in Rhode Island hosted by Bobby Nuggz and Jaz Marley. When we walked in we were greeted and had our names checked off the guest list. There were vendors all over the venue with flower, concentrates, edibles, topicals…etc.
The VIP had an exclusive terp tasting from Remy Dee/Dabonaire extracts not to mention a bag with a bunch of goodies. The meltdown had a rosin press set up in one of the rooms which Dad and Uncle Pat utilized. There was even a pong tournament with medicated fruit punch instead of Alcohol!! The tetrahydroclub is nothing but inviting to anyone who has their medical cannabis card, from any state or anywhere.
Maine
I got to stop at home briefly for a few hours before heading up to Maine. Maine is a beautiful place where they are super duper cannabis friendly, specifically in the Portland area. The Community Harvest Bonfire was set up like a big farmers market; the vendors were set up in the barn with more scattered around outside. I was a part of the live music entertainment along with Northern Lights Nation and Judge The Disciple. We wound up staying up there and I had a sesh with the guys from NEVA far into the night! Brett from B Dabz Art is always an amazing host, and makes sure his events are nothing but awesome.
I had an incredible time at both events, but when they were over, I got sad that I had to come back to Connecticut. Connecticut already has the community of people, we just need some cool places that will be medical cannabis friendly for us to host these type of events. We managed to capture the meltdown on video, so be on the look out for that coming soon.
