Being In Card Limbo
Happy Monday Morning Everyone! Let’s start the morning off right. I can feel Dabster Morgan’s pain in this video. I recently waited three weeks for my temp card, due to a improper file upload. So I know the terrible feeling of being in card limbo. Instead of contacting me of the issue, the Department of Consumer Protection did nothing. I followed up with them to only find out I needed to resubmit an attachment. It was quickly corrected and within 24 hours I had a temp card. Situations like this make me wonder why my taxes go to support government departments that are not effective in providing a service. If the process was independently controlled, I would like to think that they would contact a person if there was an issue with an application. So instead of getting a year of eligibility, now I only get 11 months of access for my $100 fee.
Guess this is a learning experience, make sure to follow up with them after two weeks. I can’t hate on them too much, I don’t know what they do on a daily basis. However, if the DCP is out to help the patient I would recommend they put their best foot forward.
