Weed has been legal in Connecticut since 2021 and while the program’s rollout has slowed rolling up, Nutmeggers could soon take a toke without going over the state line.
The state anticipates stores will open in early 2023 and last month announced dozens of businesses including packagers, producers and retail stores are completing the first round of cannabis licensing.
Of those businesses, seven medical marijuana dispensaries have completed the steps necessary to receive licenses to sell recreational marijuana:
