The cannabis industry in Texas faces changes in the 89th Legislature now that Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has proposed an all-THC ban carried by state Sen. Charles Perry.
Legal dispensaries in Austin, Texas, and cannabis advocates have already spoken out against the proposed ban, with some calling it “tremendously out of step” with the will of the people. Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller even said on X that “not everyone is on the same page on this.”
To better understand how the public feels about marijuana legalization in Texas and the newly proposed all-THC ban that aims to outlaw cannabis products like THCa, delta-8 and delta-9 (amongst other things), LoneStarLive.com hit the streets of Austin to ask everyday people their takes on the matter.
