Swade Dispensary general manager Maxwell McAnallen places a sign for a dedicated cash register for holders of medical marijuana cards as the store gets ready to sell recreational weed on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023 in the St. Louis part of the Delmar Loop. The dedicated register will allow cardholders to avoid standing in expected long lines for recreational use.
Swade Cannabis, a brand of Missouri-based BeLeaf Medical Company, is adding to its footprint through the recent acquisition and rebranding of a dispensary in Eureka.
Last week, Swade took over operations at HomeState Dispensary in the Hilltop Village Shopping Center. The dispensary originally opened in 2023 and becomes Swade’s sixth location.
According to a press release, Swade will keep all HomeState’s current employees and intends to extend operating hours and increase product variety.
“Our dispensaries continue to experience growth across the state, and we look forward to bringing the Swade experience and increased access to quality products to Eureka,” said BeLeaf Medical Co. CEO Kevin Riggs in a statement.
The brand plans to introduce “deli-style” shopping, where customers can see and smell the flower before purchasing, plus home delivery to Eureka residents.
