(WJAR) — Rhode Island State Police said they arrested eight people after an investigation into an illegal marijuana grow operation.
State police said the eight people face charges various drugs and firearms charges.
The investigation began after an anonymous tip about the illegal grow operation, officials said.
According to state police, they conducted search warrants in residences and grow operations located in North Providence, North Scituate, Lincoln, Westerly, Providence and Woonsocket.
The search warrants were executed last Wednesday, and officials said they seized four firearms, over 270 pounds of usable marijuana, 922 mature marijuana plants, 11 grams of cocaine, over $79,000, other drugs and more.
Kenneth LaFlamme, 46, of North Providence is facing 20 charges, including possession of firearm by a person prohibited, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, according to authorities. He was held without bail at his arraignment.
State police said John Delauro, 52, of North Scituate, is facing various drug charges and was held without bail at his arraignment.
