Wow Governor LePage is about the only prohibitionist left in Maine. Seriously, who does this guy think he is, apparently democracy isn’t a big deal to him. Since July 2018, yes 11 days in and ha has already vetoed 6 bills. One of which, would expand the Maine Medical Program.
What does the bill propose?
“The bill eliminates the specific list of medical conditions that qualify a patient for the use of medicinal cannabis. Instead, physicians will be able to recommend medical marijuana for any patient they believe will benefit.”
I know it’s crazy to think like this, but I believe doctors are better suited to give medical advice than politicians. They don’t always set good policy, if you were to ask me.
