AUGUSTA (WVII) — The state Senate will take up a bill on Tuesday that aims to change the way cannabis gummies are labeled.
The current Maine law says each individual cannabis candy must be stamped with a cannabis symbol.
This has created problems for businesses that want to sell products that are made without that symbol.
“I’m grateful for the strong vote from the Maine Legislature today in support of Maine small businesses and common sense and protecting public health and safety,” Rep. David Boyer, (R – Poland).
Lawmakers in Augusta just passed a bill on Monday that would drop that stamp requirement.
