Public Hearing in Hartford for H.B. 5314
Today we can start making history in the state of Connecticut by spreading the truth of cannabis aka marijuana. The Committee for Public Health is hosting the first of two public hearings concerning House Bill 5314. The meeting is scheduled at the Legislative Office Building, Room 2C in Hartford, CT. The bill is scheduled to be heard last, #31. Attendees can expect to be in Hartford thru the evening. If you plan to submit your testimony you have until 9am to physically submit 10-25 copies of your testimony to Room 3000 of the Legislative Office Building. Late submissions will not be available to legislators until after the public hearing. Testimonies are required to be under three minutes per. Please remember your audience, be respectful, professional, and properly prepared.

An Act concerning the regulation and taxation of the retail sale and cultivation of marijuana for use by persons twenty-one years of age or older.
To require the Department of Consumer Protection to establish and administer a program by which persons twenty-one years of age or older may legally purchase and cultivate marijuana and to require the Department of Revenue Services to establish and administer a tax structure that will provide revenue to the General Fund, Budget Reserve Fund and certain municipalities.
