It’s no surprise that the crew here at Dabbin Dad and many of our readers enjoy concentrates. You may be familiar with the fact that there are many current methods used in extractions. The methods include, alcohol extraction (usually “Rick Simpson Oil”), Hydrocarbon extractions (Butane “BHO”, Propane “PHO”), and of course solvent-less extraction (usually called “Rosin”). What I’m really curious about is knowing whether or not you are familiar with a term called “Fractional Distillation”?
Basically, to really simplify it (since I didn’t major in chemistry), Fractional Distillation is when THC and cannabinoids are extracted from cannabis oil; vaporized and then reintroduced as an oil when the vapors cool. It says within the article, chemists can achieve up to a nearly pure THC or cannabinoid oil. If only patients could have safe, reasonably priced access to medicines like this.
Below I included the link to the full article, very interesting read! The author D.Gold did an amazing job breaking down the process. I’m still trying to understand myself, but its definitely “not for any beginning alchemist”. The world of cannabis and the technology behind it is moving faster and faster every single day! It may be overwhelming sometimes, but at Dabbin Dad, were here to help you sort through all of it!
Much love,
