Finally feeling NORML
Last night was the first meeting of the new official NORML chapter in CT, and it was an important one!
So as you may or may not have been aware, many of the members of the old CT chapter of NORML were unsatisfied by the lack of progress in the organization so, they decided everyone’s efforts would be put to best use by totally starting over and refocusing. So we all gathered in Hamden at the Outer Space and in the spirit of change, there was an election last night. After a quick vote the new board members were selected!
Peter Mould – Executive Director
Colin Souney – Deputy Director
Paul Kirchberg – Communications Director
Meghan Rainey – Secretary
Patrick Hannon – Treasurer
John Watkins – new board position
Joe Delaney – new board position
It was truly inspiring to see so many patients and cannabis enthusiasts from Connecticut come together to get the wheels of change in motion. Members of the organization already helped to get more quality medicine for patients and get the pediatric bill passed. We are the movers and shakers of history and we are the change we want to see. If last night has taught me anything, it was, if you want something out of life and are willing to work your ass off to get it….nothing will seem impossible. I’m sure a lot of people (including myself) grew up under the stigma that cannabis is bad and it should never be talked about but, I’m honored to be a part of such a strong; loving, unified community. Are you feeling NORML yet?
