The girls are off to school, I just returned home from dropping them off. The wife and I get to spend the day together and hopefully it will be relaxing. It’s been awhile since we have had some quiet time in the house. But before I start the daily hustle, I wanted to take a moment to remembering those that lost their lives on 9/11 and to all those that were there helping during this dark time. I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan during the time. In Japan, we were trying to stay safe during a typhoon. I still remember my roommate running into the room to give me the news and we turned on the TV, I thought they were playing a terrible joke on me. I called my family in the U.S only to confirm my fears. The Marines across the globe were put on instant alert and we were packed and ready to ship out in 24 hours. I wasn’t deployed right away, but that night (for me in Japan) I will never forget. God bless!
