I remember almost nothing, I must have been on autopilot. I was already standing in front of the percolator smelling wonderfully brewed beans and being offered donuts 🍩. No baked goods for me (unless there is weed in it), I have to watch my girlish figure. This was going to be…
“Free Dabs!”
“Hell yah!” I said as I stirred the cream in my happy caffeinated beverage. There’s no other way to kick things off. What was I saying? Oh yah. This was going to be amazing because it is always changing and there are always new aspects of The Bazaar to enjoy or strike your curiosity. I was there early, I wanted to see the egg hatch. No telling what will come out.
This one was the biggest one yet. It was around 40 vendors with about an audience of 900 throughout the day, which 1/2 were medical patients. Yes. 1/2 were medical patients. If that isn’t interesting enough, you should have seen some of the vendor displays.
Not what you might think… In previous Bazaars there has been a lot of product focus. Drinks, snacks, concentrates, and of course the forever popular flower. But this time it was different. Sure, there were the usuals but this was more diverse and uncommon.
This time around I saw many new areas of focus. There were definitely more glass along with robotic machines that do everything that the manual devices do, only they’re battery operated. Mystical lights and buttons all over the place. Thousands of dollars worth of visual effects and heating gimmicks that all jumped into action at the press of a single solitary button. A bunch of flashing switches, digital readings, and heating elements that I just don’t have time to understand right now. I love superior machinery though. These were it, I’m sure of it.
A comic vendor was present with a pretty large selection of titles from both DC and Marvel franchises. In addition this guy had really cool Star Wars stuff. Plus this vendor also had baseball memorabilia, basketball, Star Trek stuff, He-Man, and some REALLY cool Wolverine t-shirts. Look, I know that I’m a nerd. But you’ll just have to deal with it. You have to admit this isn’t really normal for this type of background, this is the correct audience though. I don’t know anybody ever watching a super hero movie or some sci-fi without herbal remedies to make it even more interesting than it already is.
Lots more art and jewelry this time around. Really breath taking work.
“Frrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee DABS!”
Beckoned the call. Here we are once again at the undisputed world renowned Dabbin-Dad mobile dab bar. Also sponsored by the NECCA. The menu was 8 deep. I couldn’t decide… I covered my eyes and pointed. I still have no idea which one it was. It was awesome, it was really fruity and I had 7 of them.😗💨 Good times.
It was right after when I started to see even more interesting stuff. Soon, patients will have grow rights, so there is everything with that starting to surface as well. Talks of organic dirt… Organic dirt?!? WTF? Ahem. Yes… Organic dirt along with lighting and nutrients… GROW TENTS!!! I love these things. Even the little ones they make for closets and under desks. Fun stuff.
After that, I needed to see some familiar faces. So I stopped off at the Just Budz tent to just say high. So, that happened too. I was greeted by the THC Divas of Leather Thongs. You two are X-Men. After we exchanged greetings they gave me a joint, it was purple of some nature and it was delicious. All around tasty and completely satisfying. It even burned really well, never had to relight it and good to the last drop. Much like my morning cup of Joe… Mad thumbs up to the purple stuff. Seriously👍🏻 and thank you.
Then there was a sudden feeling in the air. Like when you know something is about to happen. Suddenly edge of your seat type of stuff. That’s when I noticed Paul (owner of Dabbin-Dad) standing in the middle of the mobile dab bar with one foot on the PA and the mic in his hand like some metal band rock star and says “John Watkins!!! Come get a Dab!”
So I figured I should go willingly. I was the only one matching that description. Plus I really do love this electric dab rig. It’s pretty cool.
Fyre from Badd Girl Buddz arrived tardy but received a standing ovation from a majority of her peers upon arrival. Fyre always brings a display of delectable treats. Candies, cookies, baked goods…s’all good. Everything that these ladies make are amazingly flavorful little bundles of joy. The Snicker mini cupcake brownies are really, REALLY good. Well worth the wait.
As the sun set on the day and everything was breaking down I really had to reflect on the day with a cup of iced tea. It was delicious, the day had been really hot and trying at times. Plus I almost committed accidental suicide from eating a peanut butter cookie sandwich with cottonmouth. The rest of the day had been a blur of sci-fi and super heros with a dab sprinkled on the side while we spoke of organic soil practices and cultivation tips. We had weird beverages and grandma style goodies while purple burned through the air, all while visiting with technological peddlers of combustion type wonders. Artistry and jewelry intertwined for the voyeur. Elegant, weird, and intelectual. All good things. Welcome to The Bazaar.
