Back on July 1st 2021, after literally a decade fighting CT finally went legal with cannabis. It was awesome. We all sang, danced, cheered, and toked in celebration of this event. Patients could finally grow their own medicine and have an ability to share with others. But now the state is looking to take it all back and add criminal charges for not abiding to the new potential rules.
The state wants to impose a new law that makes everybody a criminal again. What is the point in this? Why is Connecticut so hell-bent on turning patients into criminals again?
I’ve made the statement before and I will say it again: What about patients that can’t afford their medical cannabis? The people that pay $200 to a doctor and another $100 to the state to have some sort of legal protection and be ‘graced’ with an ability to step into a dispensary need assistance. $896 is the low end current cost for just flower out of a CT dispensary assuming a maximum allotment of 3.5 oz. Concentrates get WAY more expensive then that. Even if you can afford it all, it sometimes can’t be supplied. If I had more than they had… Why wouldn’t I be able to give them some? Why would I be forbidden from helping someone? Why would it be forbidden to share? Sharing is caring.
Nobody has been able to supply answers to any of these questions. I ask authorities and they simply ignore me…
So with abidance of the current law, a protest is being held in the front of the Capitol on March 15, 2022 beginning at 10am and going until 4. During the time of the protest current rights will be exercised and cannabis will be handed out as gifts for the duration of the protest or until supplies run out.
So get out there and grab a doober. While you are at it send an email to gltestimony@cga.ct.gov and tell them that section 2 of HB 5329 needs to be removed entirely or to squash the bill totally and start over.
Nothing like trying to pull the rug out from under everyone just because most people can’t afford all your overpriced Boof.
