Dabbin’ Dad has many contributors who help make this site run. One of our most recognized field contributors is Luis Vega, also known in the community as Uncle Lou. Joining in mid 2016, Uncle Lou has helped grow our social media presence and expanded our original digital content hosting the series, Freshly Baked Goods.
Today it is with a heavy heart that we announce Uncle Lou’s decision to step down as a Dabbin’ Dad contributor in order to focus on new endeavors.
Luis has issued the following statement:
“Life has called on me to go in a different direction – one that no longer involves being a contributor to Dabbin’ Dad. Taking a step back was a very tough decision that I was faced with and I had to do what was best for everyone involved. I love talking to patients, writing content and am so proud of the Dabbin’ Dad team and all that we have collectively done. A few months back, I decided to pursue my passion of cannabis events and paint parties, starting Paint and Toke. Originally, I thought I could give both brands the attention that they need, while still trying to maintain a “normal” family life. I came to realize that Dabbin’ Dad & Paint and Toke are both full time commitments. Unfortunately, I can’t be in two places at the same time and I had to honor my responsibility to Paint and Toke, my wife Jessica, and our family. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone I have met through my involvement. I hope to see you all at one of our upcoming events.”
We would sincerely like to thank Luis Vega for all of his work as a contributor to Dabbin’ Dad.
We urge you all to visit Paint and Toke and Uncle Lou’s Bodega website and attend an event when you have the opportunity. Be sure to check our community calendar for up to date information.
