Uncle Lou: Elixir

We are getting ready for the Boston Freedom Rally.

This Saturday DabbinDad, Uncle Lou, Tha Red Baron, CannaPete, DabPunk710 and the team will be in Boston for the freedom rally. What better way to enjoy the day then bringing along your own tasty treats with a buzz.

Uncle Lou’s Elixir

I started to prepare for this a few weeks ago, we need some Uncle Lou’s Elixir. THC tincture was the goal, a potent extract that can be used in small amounts to gain large effects.

First we started with a half ounce of some fine fire buds, broke them down and lightly baked in the oven at 220. This process decarboxylates the flower and activates the THC-A (this makes it “work”). THCA is not psychoactive, and must be converted into THC through decarboxylation before any effects can be felt.

Take the half ounce of decarboxylated flower and put it into a mason jar. Then we added our Ever-clear grain alcohol, making sure to cover all of herb in the mason jar. Cover and shake the jar vigorously. This is optional, but does speed up the process. Place the covered jar into a light double boil for 4 hours. Let the jar cool and then place in the freezer for two weeks. Make sure to shake vigorously, twice a day every day. After two weeks, take the mixture out of the freezer and strain the mixture into a small pourable glass bottle, preferably with dripper. Use cheese cloth and a funnel to make sure all the small bits stay out.

This is your completed tincture if done correctly 5-10 drops added into your favorite beverage or right under your tongue will do the job.
