Zen Leaf, a prominent cannabis retailer under Verano Holdings, has officially opened its latest dispensary at 98 Elm Street in Enfield, Connecticut. This marks the town’s second cannabis dispensary, following the earlier establishment of Octane Cannabis on Hazard Avenue. The new Zen Leaf location occupies a renovated portion of the former Outback Steakhouse building, featuring a drive-thru window for convenient order pickups.
The grand opening, which commenced on Memorial Day weekend, included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a pop-up marketplace showcasing local vendors, and complimentary food and beverages. Promotions on Verano’s product lines were available throughout the weekend, and a job fair was conducted to fill several open positions.
Zen Leaf Enfield offers both recreational and medical cannabis products, aiming to provide a comprehensive selection for various consumer needs. The dispensary’s operating hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In alignment with Verano’s commitment to community engagement, the company has funded a one-year supply of Narcan for the Thompsonville Fire Department and organized a food drive benefiting local charities, including the Enfield Food Shelf and Enfield Loaves and Fishes.
Mayor Ken Nelson praised Zen Leaf’s professionalism and transparency throughout the planning process, expressing confidence in the company’s role as a responsible community partner.
The opening of Zen Leaf Enfield contributes to the town’s broader economic development initiatives, coinciding with plans for a $250 million redevelopment of the nearby Enfield Square mall.
With this new location, Zen Leaf continues to expand its presence in Connecticut, joining existing dispensaries in Meriden, Naugatuck, Newington, Norwich, Waterbury, and Ashford.
