NORWALK — Police said they seized 5.39 pounds of pure marijuana, hundreds of THC gummies and hundreds of products with more than allowable 0.3% THC content from the a local smoke shop Wednesday.
The search warrant executed at AAA Smoke & Convenience Store on Main Street is part of an ongoing investigation into smoke shops who sell cannabis without a license, Norwalk Police Sgt. Ryan Evarts said in a news release Thursday. Police also seized $18,331 in cash from the shop, Evarts said.
Samir Dahman, 24, was arrested following the raid. He was charged with the sale of one kilogram or more of cannabis, illegally selling or manufacturing cannabis to people under 18, and use of drug paraphernalia.
Dahman, of Norwalk, was initially held in lieu of a $100,000 bond and is due in court Oct. 17, Evarts said.
Selling products with a THC concentration greater than 0.3% without a cannabis license from the Department of Consumer Protection is illegal in the state, Evarts said.
