NORWALK — Police raided a vape shop on Connecticut Avenue Wednesday and found more than four pounds of marijuana, according to the department.
The search warrant was part of the department’s investigation into non-licensed shops selling marijuana, Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said in a news release Thursday.
The Norwalk Police Department, along with the state Department of Consumer Protection’s Drug Control Division, executed the search and seizure warrant at the Smoke House 1 vape shop on Connecticut Avenue, Podgorski said.
At the shop, investigators found more than 4 pounds of marijuana, several hundred products containing greater levels than the legal limit of THC and approximately $1,500 in cash, according to Podgorski.
As a result of the investigation, police also arrested Naud Brandon Rodriguez. He was charged with possession with intent to sell an amount greater than 1 kilogram of cannabis, possession of an amount greater than 1 kilogram of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
