A new cannabis-derived drink will soon be on the shelves of select Central Texas liquor stores and venues.
Wherehouse Beverage Co. is expanding the beverage company’s presence into Austin and Nashville with its award-winning THC-infused, WYNK seltzers. The move marks a significant stride for the burgeoning cannabis beverage industry, according to a release.
“We’re thrilled to be opening new markets in the South. Tennessee and Texas are joining an incredible collection of forward-thinking states in making this new class of adult beverages available at retail,” remarked Phil McFarland, General Manager for WYNK. “With this being the first time in history that marijuana use is outpacing drinking alcohol, our low-dose, cannabis options are answering the demand.”
Known for its balanced 1:1 ratio of THC to CBD, WYNK delivers a light and social buzz in each 2.5 mg or 5 mg can. The low-dose beverage has zero sugar and zero calories and comes in flavors like Black Cherry Fizz, Juicy Mango, Lime Twist, and a newly launched Tangerine.
Currently accessible in 38 states, WYNK has been growing in sales especially through wholesale markets including Illinois, Minnesota, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Connecticut. WYNK will be available at 10 select Total Wine & More locations across the state, beginning in Austin and McEwen Bottle Shop, Colonial Liquors, and Dawghouse Saloon in Nashville, Tennessee.
