MOORHEAD — The owners of two Moorhead shops say that if the White Earth Nation opens a recreational cannabis dispensary here in March, the tribe’s competitive advantages could put them out of business.
Steven Rosenfeldt, who started Ediblez OTC two years ago, says his shop at 2223 U.S. Highway 10 won’t survive long once a tribal-owned dispensary opens in the former JL Beers building, just across the road from him.
Rosenfeldt sells CBD- and THC-infused seltzers and mixers, edible gummies and other treats, plus bath bombs, salves and products to grow cannabis.
But Rosenfeldt says the tribe will have more options for recreational cannabis consumers. And he doesn’t think he’ll be able to hold out long enough to get his own license.
