A Cumberland County mother was charged after she failed to take her son to a doctor after he ate multiple marijuana-laced brownies in January, police said.
The 7-year-old boy told Children and Youth on Jan. 15 he’d been unable to go to school lately because his mom Alissa Gonzalez, 37, was “knocked out” and regularly bringing friends to their Enola home to smoke marijuana, according to court documents.
The boy’s grandmother Rhea Grove, 60, lived in the home with him and Gonzalez and also smoked marijuana around the boy, East Pennsboro Township police wrote in an affidavit of probable cause.
