RAEFORD, N.C. (WNCN) — Deputies stopped a driver from speeding and later arrested him on felony drug charges last week in Hoke County, the sheriff’s office said.
The incident happened on Monday, Jan. 13 when the Hoke County Criminal Interdiction Unit stopped the driver of a 2024 Nissan Altima for speeding and failing to maintain lane control, according to a Hoke County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies did not say where in the count the incident happened.
While deputies were talking to the driver “marijuana residue was observed throughout the vehicle,” according to the news release.
