The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission on Friday issued a product recall for edible cannabis cookies sold in Oregon during the past 17 months.
According to the recall, Lissa’s Fresh Baked Cookie Bites failed to list the allergen “milk” in the package’s statement on what it contains.
The recall affects the brand’s snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookie flavors that may have been sold by 37 recreational marijuana retailers in Oregon between November 2023 and this March.
What packages of Lissa’s Fresh Baked Cookie Bites have been recalled?
The recall affects the brand’s snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookie flavor, which both have 1439 label IDs.
The OLCC recommends that anyone who may have purchased the recalled products destroy them immediately.
Although the OLCC has “not received any health-related complaints from the use of the recalled products,” the faulty labeling on the product makes it “a risk to public health and safety and should not be sold or consumed,” according to OLCC.
Which retailers are affected by the Lissa’s Fresh Baked Cookie Bites recall?
According to the OLCC, the cookies were known to have been sold at 37 recreational marijuana stores in Oregon cities that include Salem, Eugene and Springfield, Portland, Medford, Newberg, Ontario, Beaverton, Oregon City, Gresham, The Dalles, Pendleton, Ashland, Hillsboro, Tigard, Monmouth, Corvallis, Otis, Willamina and Newport.
Anyone who thinks they may have been affected by the recall can notify OLCC at olcc.recalls@oregon.gov.
