May CT MMP Statistics
The sun is shining and someone left the heat on outside, if you didn’t notice. So how did the program expand this past month? The May CT MMP Statistics are in. The program is still going strong, 33,979 patients.
This time last year we saw 25,805 patients registered in the state medical program. With an increase of 8,174 patients in 12 months the program grew 31.6% and raised an additional $817,400 in state fees compared to the previous period.
The DCP should be concerned how they plan to meet the continuously increasing demand of the grow medical program. While legalization talks are all the buzz in Hartford and throughout the state, let’s not forget about the people who need cannabis as a medicine. Adding new dispensaries, while nice, does not ensure the right medicine is available all times. This is a medical patient program correct? Patient Grow rights with a minimum of 6 plants, per adult, should be allowed to ensure patients can always have access to the medicine they need.
Who are these doctors? Why is it so hard to find one?
Since May last year we have see an increase of 227 Registered Physicians or 25.9%. Not a bad YTD growth.
