The stat numbers are in… how is the state Medical Marijuana Program (MMP) doing? Let’s see what the numbers have to say about the growth of the program. The numbers are up since the last quarter. Does anyone else wonder why it seems that even though new conditions have been approved this year the patient numbers don’t seem to show larger program growth?
How Many Patients Are There?
Since the last reported check on the Department of Consumer Protection, we have seen the patient base grow, but not by a lot. We have 37,725 registered state patients, an increase in the patient base by 2% over the last three months. It is fairly stagnant compared to the previous quarter growth of 10.5%. Something doesn’t seem right here and should warrant some interest as to why the program isn’t reaching more patients.
Where are the Doctors?
Since September 2019, the DCP registered 40 more physicians to prescribe medicinal marijuana in Connecticut, 90 within the last 6 months.
