Will the summer winds bring change?
Where is the summer going? It seems like we had a late start to the warm weather and it’s almost August already.
Work, work, work seems to be the mantra around here. If it’s not family or work, there isn’t enough time it feels like. Luckily we are blessed to be able to keep the hustle going without burning out…yet.
While it seems there might not be enough time in the day, at least the sun is shining and the weather is warm. Meaning there are events and people getting together to enjoy the weather, company and the plant. As you may have seen, we have been traveling around the New England area to meet others in the cannabis industry and highlighting some of the great caregivers we have found along the way. Seeing what other opportunities are out there is exciting to say the least. You may or may not know, but the state medical program is limited in nature and other states are seeing massive strides in the industry.
Hopefully soon, someone in power at the state level will make a point to push legalization and grow rights this year. We are between sessions and right before a major election year, who will be the leaders we need? We should all want to understand where our elected officials stand in regards to the issues that are important to us. Right now that should be getting the state finances in order and creating new opportunities for state residents. We need hope. People need to understand that there is prosperity ahead.
Until then, we are going to keep enjoying the weather, travel, and discuss how to push the agenda further here in Connecticut. Hopefully, we can achieve the change we desire before the rest of New England starts the party without us.
