Highly doubtful! You heard it here first.
Speaker of the House Joe Aresimowicz said Wednesday that if marijuana becomes legal in Connecticut, then it will not become the wild west when it comes to its reach and availability. This could not be anything further than the truth. Mr. Aresimowicz is completely uneducated in this topic and consistently refuses to hear reason and instead opens his mouth so the never-ending flow of verbal diarrhea can purge. This gentlemen should be removed as the Speaker of the House since he is clearly failing the democratic agenda already less than 30 days into the legislative session. He clearly speaks alone in these uneducated, ill-informed, and uncontrollable fits of nonsense.
Seriously, if this was the case, the Connecticut Medical program would have more than 30, 820 registered patients. But according to people like Joe, anyone already can get a marijuana. They doubt the legitimacy of our state’s palatable-use medical program. Leadership like this is toxic to democracy, we need people who support our political system not limit it’s credibility and usefulness.
“As long as I’m Speaker, you’re not going to see retail marijuana stores on the corners of the cities of Hartford and New Britain and Berlin and have them pop up wherever you want to buy it,” Rep. Aresimowicz, (D – Berlin), said. “And if we legalize it, and it’s still an if, it’s not going to be that structure. It’s going to be highly regulated.”
Just a thought…why is he telling people how to control cities outside of his district?
