In fact, anyone who sends another to the slammer for weed should be brought up on international crimes against all humanity. If found guilty of such vile acts one should be placed in The Machine of Unspeakable Doom: it swaps your conscious and unconscious minds, rendering your fantasies pointless while everything you know becomes impossible to grasp. Also, every 10 seconds, it stabs your balls.(Special thanks to The Citadel of Ricks)
I’m sure that you’ve heard about the teacher and the basketball player over in Russian. Both very tragic and heartbreaking tales. My heart goes out to both them and their families in these dark times from “The Red Flag “.
The teacher got a longer sentence. I guess he didn’t have celebrity status or a doctors note. So, no prisoner swap for you.
However I need to point out that there are similar circumstances happening in our backyard. Even with the change in the landscape of Cannabis reform there are still people going to prison and/or being arrested and/or being fined and/or whatever… Over weed? Come on man…
Recently in Mississippi Supreme Court they upheld a life sentence in prison without parole for a guy who was convicted of possessing less than two ounces of weed. But that was because he is a “habitual offender.” Wait… What?!? Life in prison? That’s worse than “The Red Flag”. That’s right here. But he did have a few other violations against him that added to the final decision. Weed kinda’ ended up the cherry on top. Still, there should be no cherry. NO CHERRY FOR YOU!!! Why is there a cherry?
Real reform needs to happen here, from our backyard to the span of the globe and all points in between. Looking at the U.S. landscape you can find that all but 4 states have some sort of cannabis law reform on the books. It’s blowing my mind, that’s a larger calling than what ended alcohol prohibition. Can someone wake up the whiskey soaked mummies in Washington?!? Once they’re awake put a pen in the hand of the Commander and Chief so we can all smoke a joint in peace and the big guy can go back to sleep. If they can talk about prisoner trades, they can talk about national reform. Call the White House!
This is of course just my opinion… But maybe all the yelling for the reform could get some support from the dominating MSOs of the U.S.A. Maybe instead of using using lobbying power to repress things like grow rights or open markets, use your powers for good. Help people get out of prison that are just there for weed. It’s kinda’ the right thing to do… With all things considered… Seriously, look around.
Imagine if everyone from the industry was on the same page about something regardless of area? Imagine what could be accomplished. This brain numbing topic would certainly be over.
