Some notable points from the HIGHBAZAAR resource center…
One of the great things that HighBazaar has been doing over the last 3 weeks is talking about the state’s social equity portion for licensing of the legal Cannabis Market, which is set to roll out later this year. If you are looking to apply and get into the lottery, here are some things you’ll need to know.
Social equity applications will be put into a lottery. An outside Lottery Operator will run the lottery for the Social Equity Applicants and will not know which numbers have been assigned to which applicants. Entities that apply as a Social Equity applicant will be assigned a number and entered into the drawing. Those applying to be entered into the lottery must pay the lottery fee and state on their application that they are applying as a “Social Equity Applicant”.
How does one qualify as a Social Equity Applicant?
A Social Equity Applicant is someone who has had an average household income of less then 3x the state median household income over the 3 last tax years AND was a resident of an area which was disproportionately impacted for at least 5 of the Last 10 years (Census TRACT) OR was a resident of a disproportionately impacted area for at least 9 yrs before the age of 18 to qualify for the lottery.

- Delivery $125 (2) (Must be submitted by 2-17-22)
- Product Packager $250 (3) (Must be submitted by 3-17-22)
What’s available and what are the lottery fees and how many licenses are available for each lottery? When do the applications have to be submitted by?
Social Equity Applicants can complete up to 3 applications under this provision.
Good luck🤞🏻 and may the best applicants win. Finally, something other than the Big 4.
