CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – Authorities in Cortland make an arrest for illegal cannabis sales at a local smoke shop.
City of Cortland Police began investigating complaints of underaged kids at Cortland Jr./Sr. High School and in the community possessing THC vape pens. They look similar to tobacco vape pens, however they contain the active ingredient in marijuana, THC. Investigations at Cortland Junior-Senior High School determined that vape pens with THC were being sold to minors as young as 13 years old at the All In One Market, located on Clinton Avenue.

Undercover officers conducted a sting at the store and witnessed minors purchase the products without being asked for ID. 21-year-old Abdulla Saleh Omar was arrested and charged with unlawful sale of cannabis and violating the Cannabis Dispensary Act. Adult recreational-use cannabis is only legal to use for people 21 and over. All In One Market does not possess a retail dispensary license, nor is the store located in the approved zone for sales by the City of Cortland.
The City of Cortland Police Department confiscated all of the THC products in the store, which they say has a retail value of more than $59,000. The investigation is ongoing, anyone with information or similar complaints are asked to contact the City of Cortland Police Department.
