Happy New Year Everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and exciting time.
I spent this year welcoming 2017 with the family and celebrated my daughter’s birthday. With all the excitement from her birthday, my oldest tried to stay up to see the ball. Midnight proved to be too much as she passed out on the couch, it made me so happy to see her all cuddled up at 1145p. As I looked at my precious girl sleeping, thinking how much I would like to go to bed, I was quickly reminded that my youngest was still raging and the night must go on. Shocked to see my little one full of energy, I was concerned she would never go to sleep. Mostly because that means mommy and daddy get no sleep. She was running all over the place, but even time prevailed with her. We all had fun, I guess I need to thank Mariah for giving us a comedic end to 2016, my wife highly enjoyed that.
The entire night with the family made me happy and truly excited to see what the New Year has to offer.
The last few years, I’m thankful to have had access to medicine that allows me to continue living a happy life. Not that long ago, I would’ve been drunk, slurring my words, and doing stupid stuff. I started to realize I needed help. The Veteran Affairs and doctors tried with their pills, nothing seemed to change except I was always tired and if I drank I would blackout. Yeah, those years were not a good time for anyone. Time passes and we all learn, but sometimes the learning process hurts.
Looking forward to change.
This year instead of throwing back a half rack of beer or downing a bottle of Jack, I rang in the New Year pair some strains with champagne! I’m happy to say I medicate with cannabis and my standard of living has greatly improved. I’m a proud father and husband; nothing can get in the way of me being the best for my family. Cannabis is not an addiction, it is medicine, and it is social. I have never felt so compassionate for a cause, other than serving my country. 2017 will be the year for cannabis here in Connecticut.
We, Dabbin Dad, didn’t stop working though the holiday break. There is no sleep for the wicked. Hahaha. Lookout for some new amazing informational and fun things this year. Dabbin Dad hopes to help spearhead the legalization movement in Connecticut. There are some great people in the cannabis community that need your help. Cannabis is not something to be scared of, it might not be for everyone, but it’s not Reefer Madness or what you learned in Health class. Legalization will help everyone. Cost will drop and become more affordable to patients and the variety will expand. Adults will have a safer alternative to alcohol for recreation. A new recreational market will emerge generating jobs, profit and tax revenues; all of which the State of Connecticut needs to move forward. Connecticut residents need assistance and cannabis is here to help in 2017.
