I came across the new Curaleaf offering at the dispensary yesterday. I didn’t want to write about it and publicize my initial reaction. This intrigues me, because it is the second highest THC content offering at the dispensary since the start of the program. Citron T93% Sativa Crunch 161a from Curaleaf delivers 27.8% THC, 65.0% THCA with 92.8% Total THC. It is a sativa, which I love, but I hate to say it… I will not be buying this for $100 for .5 grams. I bought the Gold Sativa Clear to try, against my gut, but for the readers. I can’t justify paying for this when there are more reasonable medications available at the dispensary. I like some of the Curaleaf offerings, but with price points like these I feel they are losing touch with the patients.
This honestly made me evil laugh inside, hahaha. I’m thinking what they are going to do if legalization passes? Are they are going to price themselves out of business?
I honestly like the people over at Curaleaf. I heard their response to the pricing of the Gold Sativa Clear. But please listen to the patients and the dispensaries, make the medication cost obtainable for patients. This honestly looks bad for the program! California has been offering this quality of medicine for over a year at half the cost at it’s highest price point. I can understand why patients are hesitant to join the program with medicine costing so much. We already have to pay $250 at a minimum to be in the program yearly. Why are we paying so much to have access to a plant!?!?!
Pharma and insurance isn’t looking so bad at this point… shaking my head!!! They already have a history of price gouging.
