WESTPORT — An employee at a smoke shop on Post Road East has been charged with manufacturing and selling cannabis products illegally, police said.
Sales associate Mohemed Zeine Hedimy, a 24-year-old Brooklyn, New York man, was charged on on Tuesday with illegal sale / manufacture of cannabis, Westport police Lt. Cabana said the arrest came after Westport detectives and the State of Connecticut Drug Control Division executed a search warrant at Savvy Smoker on Post Road East. She said it was part of an investigation into non-licensed cannabis sales and complaints of sales to minors.
When they executed the search warrant, Cabana said, authorities seized pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, canisters of THC flower, THC resin products, THC vape cartridges and THC edible products.
