STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Roughly 60 pounds of marijuana and THC was recently seized from a smoke shop accused of illegally selling it, according to Stratford police.
Police said the Cream Smoke Shop at 955 Ferry Boulevard was not licensed with the state to sell or distribute cannabis or THC products, but police got a tip juveniles were buying products there.
After the Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit conducted four UC Officer-controlled purchases of cannabis products, a search warrant was executed on Sept. 5.
Roughly 60 pounds of cannabis and THC materials were seized as evidence, along with about $7,000 in cash, according to police.
Phillip Giacobbe, 27, Byron Fernandez, 33, Ariel Martinez, 30, and Virack Korng, 38, were all taken into custody and are facing various drug charges, including operation of a drug factory.
Each was given of a $25,000 bond and is expected to appear in Bridgeport court on Sept. 13.
