On Sept. 24, the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and Summerville Police Metro Narcotics Unit arrested Ping Nain, 45, of Sacramento, California, and charged him with trafficking in marijuana, 100 pounds or more.
After a traffic stop and positive K9 alert on a vehicle being driven by Nain, eight large cardboard boxes filled with marijuana were found. The total weight of the marijuana was approximately 160 pounds. Nain was transported to the L.C. Knight Dorchester County Detention Center, where he received a bond that was set at $75,000.
This case is being investigated by the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and Summerville Police Metro Narcotics Unit.
