THUMBS DOWN to hospitals seeing a rise in children requiring treatment for exposure to cannabis. The increase comes in the wake of recreational cannabis becoming legal in Connecticut in 2021. Laws related to it are still evolving, but parents need to take more care to keep the products out of reach of children. One Connecticut doctor lamented about toddlers arriving intoxicated in the emergency department after getting into their parents’ edibles. That’s just careless.
