NEWPORT, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office said a Newport man was charged after thousands of dollars and several drugs were seized on Wednesday.
CCSO said it executed a search warrant at a Newport home following a narcotics investigation.
While executing the search warrant, CCSO said officers seized the following:
$6,455 cash
Approximately seven grams of meth
Approximately three grams of cocaine
Nine Oxycodone pills
Three suspected fentanyl pills
Eight hydrocodone pills
Seven Adderall pills
Two guns
26 pounds of vacuum-sealed marijuana
The suspect, 29-year-old Ricky Wood, was charged with the sale and delivery of several scheduled drugs, drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
Wood is being held on a $200,000 bond.
CCSO said the investigation is ongoing.
