CT Killed Cannabis Culture
It’s official: the cannabis culture is now a thing of the past. We can all thank the big MSOs for that. For those of you who don’t know, MSOs are multi-state operators. They’re the bigwigs of the cannabis industry, the ones who control the majority of the market. And they’ve killed any chances of small businesses or mom-and-pop shops of ever getting into the game. The thing is, … [Read more...] about CT Killed Cannabis Culture
The Flight Of The Wildebeest And The Jog Of The Juggernaut
It was early morning, and I had a ride ahead of me. I was off to meet with the Wildebeest himself, Dabbin-Dad. We had a couple of invites to a private event, and we had every intention of showing up in true Dabbin-Dad fashion, with multiple cases of small arson along the way."FREE DABS!" screams in the back of my mind.I hadn’t been out in the wyld for quite some time. Rec kick off in CT is disturbing to say the least.
Why would one be disturbed, you ask? To start…The lottery for this whole process has been nothing less than a cash grab. As of today, patient limits have been increased.
Effective immediately the Department of Consumer Protection has increased the patient monthly allotment by 1.5 ounces. One used to be limited to 3.5 ounces and now they can get 5. But let's do so math... Shall we? The cheapest zip I found in the dispensary was $201.00. To get 5 would cost a PATIENT $1005.00.
