Authorities in Stamford executed a major enforcement operation this week, resulting in the seizure of hundreds of illegal THC products and the arrest of two individuals connected to unauthorized cannabis sales.
According to Stamford Police, officers conducted compliance checks at local convenience stores on July 19 as part of an ongoing investigation into the illicit distribution of THC-infused items. The operation uncovered a total of 536 illegal THC products, including various edibles and vapes, which were allegedly being sold without the required licenses or oversight.
The two individuals arrested have not yet been publicly identified, but authorities confirmed they face charges related to the unlawful possession and sale of cannabis products.
Officials emphasized that the seized items were not manufactured by any of the state’s licensed cannabis operators, reinforcing concerns that unauthorized products may pose risks to public health due to unregulated production standards and unknown ingredients.
