Two men are facing charges after police investigated alleged illegal cannabis sales connected to a smoke shop in Fairfield, Connecticut.
According to authorities, officers searched a store on Black Rock Turnpike after receiving complaints that marijuana products were being sold to minors. During the investigation, detectives identified underage residents who had purchased cannabis from the business. A search warrant later led to the seizure of hundreds of cannabis items, including flower, concentrates, vape products, and edibles totaling about 7.65 pounds of THC.
One suspect, a New Jersey resident, was charged with supplying cannabis without a license and illegal sale of marijuana. Police also cited him for selling an electronic nicotine product to someone under 21. A second man accused of managing the store was charged with larger-scale distribution offenses and released on bond pending court proceedings.
Police said the November search was not the first enforcement action at the location. A previous warrant in 2025 resulted in seizures and arrests tied to similar allegations. Authorities also reported additional investigations at other local smoke shops, where cannabis products and sales materials were discovered.
Officials noted the investigations involved cooperation with state agencies and emphasized ongoing enforcement of cannabis licensing laws. The case highlights continued oversight efforts targeting unlicensed sales and underage access in Connecticut’s regulated market.
