Online class, you don’t say…
This is interesting. Scott Rudder, president of the CannaBusiness Association states “The cannabis industry will not flourish in a vacuum,” and we can’t agree more. Why is it that this industry gives access to people with money over knowledge? It doesn’t seem to be a sound decision, to just throw money at a problem. Can cannabis become the first truly equitable industry in the US? Only time will tell.

Even serious marijuana ventures are not above a good pun. That much is clear in the new zero-credit course being offered at Atlantic Cape Community College: “Cannabis 101: Essential Knowledge for a Growing Industry.”
According to a report, 13 students enrolled in the six-week online course.
“It’s an overview,” said Josette Katz, vice president of academic affairs at Atlantic Cape. “Rather than starting out with a credit class, we wanted to gauge the interest that the constituents in Atlantic and Cape May counties had on the topic.”
Atlantic Cape is one of three New Jersey colleges to offer a cannabis-centric class, joining Stockton University and Union County College. They are conducted in conjunction with a company with yet another punny name, CannaBusiness Association. The school is using the zero-credit course as a trial balloon to gauge interest and how to direct any potential offerings going forward, according to the report.
“The cannabis industry will not flourish in a vacuum,” Scott Rudder, president of the association, told Gannett NJ for a story about the Union County College partnership. “We have to ensure we are training today’s workforce so they are fully prepared to transition into and succeed in the cannabis market.”
